Sorry!

A ‘Sorry’
Said too late
Is better
Left unsaid.

Why reopen
The wounds forgotten.
Why remember
The mistakes forgiven.

Why feel
That anger again.
Why arouse
The subdued pain.

Let the deads
Remain dead.
This ‘Sorry’ was
better unsaid.

  1. Hello Jaya,

Very nice and touching. Keep this flowing.
I stumbled upon your Hindi poetry blog while searching for some lines by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
It’s been quite sometime since you have updated that blog.
Can we have some more gems there?🙂

    Regards,
    Rajarshi

  2. A Sorry
    said too late
    is better
    said,

    why forever
    would you
    carry it
    in your head?

    it’s not an
    intention to be mean
    it’s just an
    attempt to come clean

    If it is forgotten
    why is there still pain?
    if it is forgiven
    why does buried anger remain?

    A sorry said
    whenever
    is a sorry
    Better said!!!
