Couple Entrepreneurs – Part VI (Financial Insecurities)

Financial Risk is the biggest practical problem with couple entrepreneurs. If your business starts giving enough returns before you eat up your savings, you are good. But if the business growth is slow or your financial responsibilities high – it back be a big issue. Generally starting early helps because you are not used to a high lifestyle and hence burn rate is low. The financial responsibilities are also likely to be low.

The biggest decision point comes when the returns do not become high enough with time, you want to stay in the game for long-term because you are expecting a long gestation period, but financial responsibilities start mounting up.

It’s not an easy point of time and decision are not easy to make either. But one partner leaving the business and taking up a full-time job might be the only option some times. You might also be able to take up some side projects to make money, if the obligations are not continuous and are one time.

  1. In my opinion entre-pren-er-ship is just using ur understanding and innovation with inteletual property rights. That exactly Henry Ford ( only high school passed ) , Bill Gates , Jamsedjee Tata , L . S. Mittal has done.
