  1. How does one bar a specific number? I certainly do not want to stop receiving all the calls!! There are some phone models from where specific calls can be automatically dropped, but I wasn’t prepared to adopt such costly solution as yet…

  2. Why are you allowing the the limits of your patience to be tested?? Haven’t you shown enough patience in this case already?

Launch an FIR (am not certain about these UP police guys, but B’lore police had actually helped us in something similar…and even here, we have high-up administration officials in our batch, so the police will help)

The network service providers in India I don’t think allow selective call barring facility and that again is damn foolish!

  3. Ayan: I am no worshipper of patience in such cases. But it is precisely that – I am not sure of UP police. But if he lands up in the campus, campus security shall be called upon to do their job certainly.

Apurva: Hutch and Airtel do not provide the facility. As Ayan said, even I think that selective call barring is not being provided by any of the service providers 😦

  4. The posts have been removed for the time being. Thanks a lot for all your suggestions extended here or otherwise. I have, for the time being, contacted the Dean of Students Affairs at IIT Kanpur comaplining against Mr. Majnu. I hope the Dean will respond positively. Otherwise, I will contact some other people to have the legal recourse, as has been suggested by some of you.

Thanks a lot for the support.
